If you teach from 7 to 12 hours per week, you fit the category of partial-load member. You are a member of the bargaining unit and covered by the Collective Agreement.
There are three categories of contract faculty in Ontario Colleges:

| Part-time (P/T) | less than 7 hours per week | No (additional info) |
| Partial-Load (P/L) | 7 – 12 hours per week | Yes |
| Sessional (S) | more than 12 hours per week | No |
