If you teach from 7 to 12 hours per week, you are considered a Partial-Load Faculty member. You are a member of the Bargaining Unit and covered by the Collective Agreement.

As a member of this Bargaining Unit, you receive the wages, benefits, and professional conditions that have been negotiated by the Ontario Public Service Employees’ Union (OPSEU), on your behalf.

It is very important that you sign your membership card in order to have access to your full entitlements.

There are three categories of contract faculty in Ontario Colleges:

In order to be given priority based on seniority when assigned teaching, you need to register your intent for the upcoming academic year by April 30th of the current academic year by signing the Partial-Load Registry, available on the i3 Employee Home page on Seneca’s website.

Sign the Partial-Load Registry for the 2025-2026 Academic Year by following these instructions:

  • Log into your Seneca employee account on the Seneca website.
  • Go to your Employee i3 and click on the button titled “PL Registry eForm”.
  • Once you click on this, please read the information and click “I accept the terms and conditions”, then click “Continue”.
  • Please make sure that all the provided information is accurate including your name, personal email address, phone number, and employee ID.
  • Use the drop-down menu to identify the maximum number of Teaching Contact Hours you are prepared to teach, from 7 to 12.
  • Click “Submit” to complete your registration for the 2025-2026 academic year.
