Partial-Load Registries – Service Credits
The Partial-Load Registry is maintained by Seneca Polytechnic and provided to the Local around June of each year according to Article 26.10 D in the Collective Agreement.
As of the Kaplan Award from July 2nd, 2025, registration on the Partial-Load Registry is automatic for all Faculty who are currently employed in a Partial-Load capacity at the College or who have been previously-employed in a Partial-Load capacity at the college, though you will still need to indicate the maximum number of Teaching Contact Hours you wish to be assigned. By default, if you do not indicate anything otherwise, this is assumed to be 12 Teaching Contact Hours at Seneca, but other colleges will have their own registries and own procedures.
This means that if you were employed at another college as a Partial-Load Faculty but not currently or previously-employed at Seneca, you would still need to register your initial interest which will be for the upcoming 2027-2028 academic year.

2026-2027 Academic Year – Currently Active
This is the currently active registry for the September, 2026 – August, 2027 Academic Year. The deadline to register was April 30th, 2026 if you were a new Partial-Load Faculty, and registration was otherwise automatic for all Faculty who are currently or were previously employed as a Partial-Load Faculty, as outlined in Article 26.10 D of the Collective Agreement.
Service credits in this registry are used to determine seniority for course assignments for the Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Spring/Summer 2027 Terms. The service credits seen are based on eligible months of service as defined in Article 26.10 C in the Collective Agreement prior to December 31st, 2025.
2025-2026 Academic Year
This is the previously active registry for the September, 2025 – August, 2026 Academic Year. The deadline to register was April 30th, 2025 if you were a new Partial-Load Faculty, and registration was otherwise automatic for all Faculty who are currently or were previously employed as a Partial-Load Faculty, as outlined in Article 26.10 D of the Collective Agreement.
Service credits in this registry are used to determine seniority for course assignments for the Fall 2025, Winter 2026, and Spring/Summer 2026 Terms. The service credits seen are based on eligible months of service as defined in Article 26.10 C in the Collective Agreement prior to December 31st, 2024.
2024-2025 Academic Year
This is the previously active registry for the September, 2024 – August, 2025 Academic Year. The deadline to register was April 30th, 2024.
Service credits in this registry were used to determine seniority for course assignments for the Fall 2024, Winter 2025, and Spring/Summer 2025 Terms. The service credits seen are based on eligible months of service as defined in Article 26.10 C in the Collective Agreement prior to December 31st, 2023.
